An interesting RTS? Finally… Achron Review

Generally speaking I don’t like RTS games; something about the resource gather, build, upgrade, attack, gather, building, upgrade, attack, wash, rinse, repeat… makes it seem a little grindy to me. But this introduction of time-travel as a gameplay mechanic really does change that. If I can see in the future how my lack of upgrades or decision to attack / not attack a stronghold affect things I may be more engaged to actually go back in time to make more units, better upgrades, etc.
